Formula 1 at Silverstone

The flagship event at Silverstone is the undoubtedly the Santander British Grand Prix. Each July, the Formula 1 circus arrives to put on an amazing race for the hundreds of thousands of fans who pile through the gates.

Held over 3 days, the British Grand Prix kicks off on Friday morning for Free practice, and peaks on Sunday afternoon for the all important race. The weekend is packed full of support races and other forms of entertainment meaning there is never a dull moment.

The brilliant news for Silverstone fans is that the British GP is safe for 17 years as of 2010 after a new deal was struck between Bernie Ecclestone and the BRDC.
