Northants Cricket play within the Division 2 County Championship, their last piece of silverware came in 2000 when they won the Division 2 title.
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club (NCCC) is also the home of The Steelbacks who are one of the country's most in-form 20 20 teams. Twenty20 is arguably the most exciting and accessible form of cricket as it is a relatively short, past paced version of the sport that encourages attacking, risky shots and starts and finishes within the same day after around 2-3 hours.
NCC have a commendable record within the 20 20 cup have progressed past the intial groups four times out of the 7 years it's been running, with their most recent outing in the competition resulting in a semi-final place in 2009 where they were beaten by the eventual winners Sussex Sharks. Former star NCCC player Monty Panesar has since moved to Sussex.

NCCC also offer hospitaity packages for the matches, wedding and social events, celeb guest appearances and themed events throughout the year.
