Main Areas Of Interest in Northampton
The Picturedrome 222 Kettering Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 4BN
The Picturedrome is a very stylish, old fashioned building with bags of character. As the name suggests it used to be an old picture house (in-fact it still shows recent DVD films and old classics to this day) although it has now expanded to include a stage, restaurant and bar. The Picturedrome is the ideal venue for live entertainment and music, as it plays host to some of Northampton's best live acts every evening.
Derngate Theatre Guildhall Road Northampton NN1 1DP
Derngate Theatre is Northamptonshire's main theatre venue and has staged some of the UK's biggest live acts. There is something of interest for everyone here, whether you like operas, comedy, pantomimes, classical music, drama, plays or musicals. Upcoming Theatre shows
Grosvenor Centre
This is Northampton's biggest indoor shopping complex, (Peacock's place being the other) it is a spacious two floored layout and has all the big high street names to keep you busy. It also has lift facilities and escalators for those that require them.
Salcey Forest
This is certainly one of the town's most beautiful and novel natural spectacles, the forest contains a walkway that lifts you up above the forest trees over 20m in the air and allows you to walk around and observe the forest from totally unique views and perspectives.
