Opening Times: Everyday between 1st July (Diana's birthday)- 30th August (the day before her death) every year. Open from 11am until 5pm, entry is open until 4pm.
The resting place of Princess Diana and the home of her family The Spencers for over 500 years. The building's exquisite interiors are complimented by some of the finest paintings, artwork, antique furniture and furnishings, there are around 19 rooms to explore
In terms of refreshments, you can dine at the Althorp's cafe/restaurant or if you prefer a more leisurely picnic at the dedicated area of the grounds.
If you want to take a piece of Althorp back home with you to remember the experience, once your tour is over you can browse the gift shop and pick out a piece that encapsulates the day.
Diana: One of the main attractions at Althorp House is the award winning Diana exhibition that includes The Diana memorial located at the temple, Diana has been laid to rest in a purpose built remote resting place in the centre of The Oval Island. In memory of Diana a minimum of £10,000 of all the year's profits from Althorp House go directly to the registered charity Diana Memoria Fund.
Single & Family Prices: There are a number of pricing options available these are the same price whether you pre book or pay on entry, prices depend on what parts of the house or exhibitions you wish to view and how many people are attending. If you only want to view the grounds it's very reasonably priced at around £2 per person, for a day ticket that allows you access to the buildings it's £12.50 adults and £6 for children and slight discounts for families. If you also want to view upstairs it's around an extra £3 each.
Group Tours & Pricing : If you are thinking of visiting within a group it is required that you book in advance, giving as much notice as possible. There are exclusive discounts for any groups that do decide to visit including a 16% discount, free refreshment admission and also groups of 30 or more can visit at certain times of the year out of season and receive dedicated tours. There are various pricing options available to groups starting from as little as £10.50 and going up to £50 for the deluxe option hour long private tours or out of season options.
Yeary Events: Macmillian Cancer Walk In The Park (Sun April 25th 2010). The walks help raise money for those effected by cancer and are 3 and 6 miles in length. The walks take advantage of the picturesque views around the estate and take in the local deer park, and the beautiful rural setting.
Althorp Country Fair Show (22nd & 23rd May 2010) The show includes bird of prey and horse demostrations, a free to enter dog talent show, and a sheep show. For kids there's bouncy castles, fairground rides and various entertainers.
There's the best in local produce to buy in the dedicated arts, crafts and food marquees.

Literary Festival (Sat 12th and Sun 13th June 2010) This festival has been running for six years and attracted some of the UK's biggest authors including Richard Madeley, Alastair Campbell, Anthony Beevor, Fern Britton, and Pattie Boyd.
Classical Battle Proms (14th August 2010) Boasts an eclectic mix of classical talent and a great day's entertainment with spitfire displays, fireworks, cavalry charges and a fairground.
Winter Warmers (26th & 28th November 29010) This new event will include a tour around the house not usually open to the public, a festive themed tea and refreshments while enjoying seasonal songs on the grand piano.

Weddings: Exclusive hire of Althorp House is available for a truly grand setting your special day, including guests having access to rooms within the house for reception.
Hospitality & Activities Available: There's a bespoke package available that can include whatever you require for business or pleasure including: archery, shooting, quad biking, horse riding, function room hire, hosting dinner parties/banquets and more.
Parking: Car parking is free, and there is disabled parking for orange badge holders
